The vision The festival.
Mad Max meets Techno. A festival from Pforzheim, made by the volunteers of a local non-profit association.
The association
Behind Buchbusch stands Buchbusch Festival e.V., a non-profit association of people from the region who share one thing: a love of electronic music and the wish to keep supporting this culture in Pforzheim and make it visible. Everything you experience at the festival is the work of volunteers. That goes for planning, booking and building as much as for every bar and every detail on the grounds. From the region, for the region.
Since 2024
In 2024 Buchbusch Festival opened its gates for the first time. Since then a shared idea has grown into a festival that is noticed far beyond Pforzheim. Every edition has been bigger, bolder and better thought out than the one before. But our core has always stayed the same.
The vision
Buchbusch stands for a clear vision: Mad Max meets Techno. For one day the Buchbusch grounds become a raw, post-apocalyptic world of steel, rust and containers, of fire and bass. Watching over it all is the Buchbusch Warrior, our emblem and the symbol of what this festival is about: attitude, a mind of its own and sticking together. On the Buchbusch Stage and the Warrior Stage, international names meet the artists who shape the electronic scene of our region.
What we leave out
What we leave out matters to us just as much as what we show. You will find no beer-tent benches, no interchangeable drinks tents and no advertising hoardings here. Instead there are home-built bars, stages that merge with the grounds and food trucks with real character. Every detail is made by people who are at home at festivals themselves and know exactly how it should feel.
Indoor
Since 2026 there has been Buchbusch indoors as well. With Buchbusch Indoor we bring the energy of the festival into the city and into the months when the grounds lie quiet. We will keep this format going.
Partners
All of this is also made possible by our partners from the region. They share our vision and help us keep tickets, drinks and food fairly priced, without the festival selling its soul.
Attitude
We are independent, we are volunteers, we are from Pforzheim, and we are nowhere near finished.
